On Vacation – Sort Of

On Vacation – Sort Of

The clock is ticking as yet another summer is winding down (wait, didn’t it just start?) and the brand new school year with all its promise for new beginnings and fresh starts is waiting to unfold.

It’s also time for me to take a little break.

Actually, it’s not really a break at all as there is work of a different nature involved, plus a road trip.

Still, this will be a vacation of sorts because I’m attempting a self-imposed unplugging. Well, expect for my smart phone because hey, there’s a limit to how much disconnection I can handle and yes, I will undoubtedly be peeking in from time to time to see what’s happening in the blogosphere and beyond, but mostly I plan to be unplugged for a bit.

Can I manage?

We’ll see!

So dear readers, see you later!

I’m off for some family time, an adventurous road trip and hopefully some actual vacation/down time, too, when I can enjoy my own little backyard oasis or whatever else my heart desires for a day or two or three…

Who, what or where is your oasis?

Is it difficult for you to “unplug”?

Its always good to have a break and get away. I'm fortunate in that I don't find it difficult to unplug at all and I find that I always get a fresh perspective on things when I take a breather from normal day to day life.

Devon, It is good to take breaks. I admit, I do have trouble unplugging. Once I do though, I sure enjoy it! Thanks for sharing.

Enjoy your vacation, Nancy! You deserve it. My oasis is just lying down in bed these days, lazily reading a book or closing my eyes to nap. Wish I had energy for much more, but the truth is, the treatment causes lots of fatigue. But I enjoy others' trips as a vicarious traveler. Can't wait to learn where your adventures take you. xo

Jan, Gosh, your comment puts things into perspective. Sometimes an oasis can be the simplest thing or place can't it? I'm sorry your treatment leaves you so fatigued. I really wish treatments could be less harsh... I like to hear about the travels of others too. Thanks so much for reading and commenting, Jan. Big hugs.
