News About a Newsletter!

News About a Newsletter!

I have been contemplating doing a newsletter for well over a year now. At dear daughter’s urging, I finally decided to stop procrastinating and just do it. You may, or just as likely may not, have noticed a place to sign up for said newsletter at the bottom of my right side bar. Maybe I purposely made it difficult to spot it way down there at the bottom…

Now that I have finally made the decision to move forward with a newsletter, I no longer wish to keep it a “secret”, so I am formally letting you know in this post that I am finally ready to start writing and sending one out on a regular (hopefully) basis. No more procrastinating! Some of you signed up quite some time ago, so thank you for your patience.

If you’re like me, you’ve probably signed up for newsletters in the past but never actually get around to reading them all. More often than not, you hit the delete button. Some people flat out say no to newsletters. Some people dislike them and find them highly annoying. Some people subscribe only to unsubscribe. And some people love them. In all honesty, I find most of them annoying, too, and only subscribe to a few that I actually read on a regular basis.

So, why am I going to try doing one?

Because in today’s world connections matter. A lot. And while all the various social media connection venues are great, they are just that, social and there is little privacy and sometimes a lack of control. A personal email/newsletter is, well, more personal and gives the sender (me) control over who sees what and when. Well sort of anyway. You still decide. But at least you and I are deciding.

I do know one thing. I want my newsletter to be different.

What do I mean?

Quite simply, I want it to be an email/newsletter that you actually look forward to opening and reading when it arrives in your inbox. I want it to be one you do not ever wish to delete without first reading it.MP900390572[2]

That’s it; pretty simple, right?

What will I be including in my newsletters?

I guess you’ll have to sign up to find out! The first one will be sent out this week.

So if you’re interested in subscribing to “News from Nancy’s Point”, go ahead and click on the blue link at the end of this post or the one on my side bar and you’ll be added to my list. Subscribe, unsubscribe, resubscribe… do whatever you’d like whenever you’d like. There are no rules and there certainly are no obligations. Well, accept for me. I need to deliver a newsletter once a month or so.

“News from Nancy’s Point” will really be just another way for us to keep in touch, so let’s see how things go shall we?

As always, your suggestions and comments are welcome.
