As I mentioned in my previous post, my first book, Getting Past the Fear: A Guide to Help You Mentally Prepare for Chemotherapy has now been out in print for two years. This means I’ve got some books to give away again! Free stuff is always nice, right? Okay, maybe free stuff about cancer is sort of weird, and not all that nice, but still, there’s a need, right?
So, if you would like to enter this particular giveaway, just leave a comment stating why you want to be included. That’s it!
And if you have already read my little guide, have already won a copy, have already given away a copy, have never had chemo, will never be done with chemo, have never even been a cancer patient or whatever; it doesn’t matter. You can still enter this giveaway. Because sadly, people continue to be diagnosed with cancer each and every day. Patients continue to face chemotherapy for the first time. Cancer libraries still lack books about preparing for chemo (among other things).
The only requirement necessary to enter this giveaway is that you care about others who are facing chemo for the first time. And you’ll also need a USA mailing address. (I am happy to offer a free pdf version for my friends around the globe, if you’re a winner and that works for you)
Hopefully my little guide will continue to help a person here and there face the fear of chemotherapy. That first time is so traumatic, at least it was for me.
I had no idea what to expect.
Who would, right?
If you’d like to enter my giveaway for a chance to win a FREE print copy of Getting Past the Fear, share your comment below by 5 pm CDT on Tuesday, April 19th. Winners will be announced shortly thereafter.
I haven’t decided yet how many copies I’ll give away.
So why not enter today?

Hi Nancy, its great that you wrote this guide and even more great that you're giving It away. I'm past the fear but lots of others aren't, so I just wanted to let you know I think its really kind that you're doing this :-)

I am a 3 year breast cancer survivor, but I didn't have chemo. However, recently a friend of mine has been diagnosed and is starting chemo. I want to be a source of encouragement to her regarding this aspect of the battle. Your book can help me do that.

I had chemo thirty four years ago when there were no anti nausea drugs and the protocol was one year for breast cancer patient. I kept busy, went for therapy, and used hypnosis to help. As you can see, I am fine but still see the oncologist once a year. Try to be positive and exercise when you are not tired.
Hope this helps

Just coming up to a two year check-up appointment with my oncologist. I'm not expecting the worst necessarily, but if I have to go to the next stage then chemotherapy will be involved. Might as well know how to shape up to it!
